2026 World Cup guide: all 48 nations and how to simulate yours

The 2026 World Cup is the biggest ever: 48 nations, three host countries (USA, Mexico and Canada) and a new bracket — 12 groups of 4 and a knockout that starts at the round of 32. In Meia Dúzia's 2026 World Cup mode you line up (or call up) any of those 48 teams with real players and simulate the whole tournament.

The favourites

By squad strength, the front-runners are the usual suspects. Open any squad to see the call-up:

  • Brazil — perennial contenders with a strong attacking core.
  • France — arguably the deepest squad top to bottom.
  • Argentina — the holders, defending the title.
  • Spain — an elite midfield.
  • England — perhaps the densest young talent pool.

Line up or call up?

There are two ways to build: Line up, using each nation's real ~26-man call-up, and Call up, which opens the extended pool — you're the manager. Then just simulate and see if your team wins it by half a dozen.
